Is there another war on the horizon

With the dreadful news about the American economy, I wonder if a war will result, we were discussing this at work, made me think?

That's all we need is another war!:nut: Isn't it time for our guys and gals
to come home? What we need is another John Snow as treasury
secretary. He got the ball rolling. The economy always hurts when we
have for some reason a Republican for president. When we get a
democrat the economy gets better and the ball rolls again. I think that's
what we are waiting for. I hope that's all. With all of the prejudice here
the democrat hopeful is a big question.

I'm not sure about another war, but according to the debate last night it seems as though it's not too far from someone's mind...

I do believe, however, that a repeat of the bank failings of the 80's is about to unfold. Congress may just have to bring back the Resolution Trust Corporation, which was where I got my start working with the federal government.

First, it was WaMu last week and now Wachovia is about to go under. Which one will follow that? And Washington wants to give the Secretary of the Treasury $700 billion without any oversight? How do they think they arrived at this stage to begin with?

That's a really good question. Congress and representatives are the ones
who need to quit giving themselves pay raises along with the White House
staff. The economy would be better off.

I don't know about the war - I personally doubt it.

And yes, Judy, the economic turmoil is most certainly and always the fault of a Republican - Bill Clinton must have been a real hardcore Republican seeing how he f--d up the economy during his presidency......

Its not at all by fault of really bad and risky financial decisions that banks took with their investments, and of course house owners who agreed to variable APR because they don't know any better are not to blame as well - its Republicans who are causing it just to make sure that those people end up without their houses!!!!! That's without a doubt what it is - we have uncovered their conspiracy against middle class Americans!!!!!!!!! ;)

And then guess what happens when the taxes are hiked, eh??? Yes, those with the most money can do creative tax deductions - guess who then gets stuck with the pig-in-the-poke??? Thats right, John and Mary Q. Taxpayer who can't do any tax deductions. They will get the shaft!!!
