Yes one big flute. They are very good though, trouble is I listened to all the mp3 excerpts. Now I want the whole music, there are some lovely pieces.

That is a big one, I'm not sure I would have enough puff to play it though.

The music was lovely and definately not enough of it, I just began getting interested and it ended.

It is very true that flutes are *windhogs*, just like bass and contrabass trombones and contrabass tubas. Yes, the big brass need a copious supply of wind but not as much as one would think. Last year I attended a recital in which a very petite lady who was graduating from the University played a contrabass tuba. She wowed the whole audience(including yours truly) with her agility in playing, breath control, dynamics, and interpretation.

That lady playing contrabass tuba sounds to have been very good.
