Hello all!

I'm a fan of classical music who loves Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. But I'm truly fascinated by modern and contemporary music of the Stravinsky/Schoenberg/Bartok sort.

Luckily I live near Boston, home of Gil Rose's BMOP (Boston Modern Orchestral Project). This troupe explores the hinterlands of contemporary music for works of genius.

Yes, the culture of New England comes at a high price. I recall visiting relatives in Tucson some years back, and we swam in their outdoor pool on Christmas Day. Notwithstanding a recent thaw hereabouts, there's no such activity to be had.
