    Temperaments

    Hello,

Please forgive my ignorance! I already read some informations about it, but I would like to have you advices about the temperaments to select on my electronic organ following the works played.
I know that it's a bit "silly" as you play with what you have nowadays on real pipe organs, but anyway, if I had a "time machine" and I could really be in 1712 or 1624... what would be the corresponding temperament of my instrument?

So, on my Cantorum VI, I have these:
    - equal (I understand modern)
    - meantone (for which period?)
    - werkmeister (III I suppose, Viscount says "late 1600")
    - kirnberger (Viscount says for Bach works and german baroque composers)
    - pythagorean (Viscount says from Middle Ages up to the 15th century)

I know temperaments could change between geographical areas and organs, but could I have your advice on these temperaments anyway?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Oops...
I had forgotten to search into the "pipe organ" forum, there is a very good post about temperament: http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/1429-temperament.html

Anyway, remarkes and advices are welcome!
