That's a good one, Margaret.

Since no-one's chosen a theme, I will do the honour.

Technology and inventions

Edit: Ooops, I guess I was too late.
Looks like the theme's up to you, Mike.

BNP activists planning a night out

"Chinese?"
"No!"
"Cantonese?"
"No!"
"Thai?"

"Greek?"

"Indian?"

"Balti?"

"African?"

"Fish and chips again, then."

Thanks Mat, maybe we could go with Mat's suggestion, and let Mike choose next time. Just a thought.

Hi Mike

Some good books there. Do you duct tape the poodle, before you clip it? I have always wanted to read about the Dung beetle, funnily enough my library doesn't have that book. If I need telling how to avoid big ships, I shouldn't be on the water.

They are a good laugh though

As a result of posting this on another forum (as one does) I am led to believe a member there has already ordered the Lesbian Horses one.

 Those are hilarious, Mike.

I would really need some help with knowing How To Avoid Huge Ships.

And I've been looking for a book about The Stray Shopping Carts of North America.

I wonder if there's a copy of Bombproof Your Horse for cats...

Some of those books look like heavy reading, Margaret.

Some of those titles are very tempting. I would probably go for the Old Tractors one as I do love them, but I'm not in a relationship with one at the moment. I still haven't worked out whether it's the horses or the riders who are the lesbians! Many years ago I came across a book called The Cat Hater's Handbook which would definitely NOT be for you, Rojo!

I think they are heavy reading Rojo.

I have seen the cartoon book, "101 uses for a dead cat." I have never tried any of them.

Always remember this

Margaret, I was somewhat intrigued by the title of the 5th one down. Presumably an audio/olfactory rather than audio/visual discourse.

Hi Mike

Yes, I thought that about the 5th one down. Not that I would rush out and buy it.

Has anybody noticed the tags listed at the bottom of the page, just below the "Post Reply" button

Anarchy, deviation, insanity, irrelevance and randomness;

does that mean we are a bunch of randomly irrelevant insane deviant anarchists or randomly irrelevant insane anarchic deviants? Or have we got one of each, and if the latter who's which?

Yes I had noticed them, this seems to be the only thread tagged insanity. I always knew I was a lunatic posting here.

Indeed; I can probably do without those two books. Hence my desire to bombproof my cat. I wasn't overly concerned about my cats' chances of being bombed until being alerted to the possibility when reading the title of the book relating to bomb safety for horses. Can't hurt to be careful...

I'm going to spoil this for everyone now, but I have a suspicion that "bomb-proofing" a horse might mean training it so it does not bolt and throw you over the nearest hedge when it hears a loud noise, NOT putting steel plates all over the poor animal to protect it from the blast!! I'm only guessing. We've always been wary of horses in my family - ever since my great grandfather was killed by one. You know the old saying about horses - dangerous at both ends and uncomfortable in the middle. So true!
