I though Leonard Sachs was really clever, I used to love watching the show. It was good old fashioned entertainment. We need more of that.

Time for another musical interlude

Yes, this is definitely the time of year for nostalgia and autumnal melancholy (except for those of you in the southern hemsphere, of course) and who better to provide it than our own dear Sir Edward, the grumpy old devil! There is much to admire in Natalie Clein's performance of Sospiri, and I must say I find that tear in her trousers particularly appealing ...

Thank you for that John, a very melancholy but beautiful piece. You would think that she could afford a decent pair of trousers though.

You would, Margaret, but she probably ripped them deliberately - the brazen hussey! Or maybe she paid to have them ripped by a top designer. She seems to think classical music fans will enjoy getting a glimpse of her bare thigh - and how right she is! :D

Agreed, Mike, and MORE! MORE !!! A sexy lady and a sexy instrument! I had a girlfriend once who was learning to play the cello, and she used to say (quite innocently) that she liked to feel it vibrating between her legs, until I was forced to point out to her that people were taking this the wrong way!:eek: In one respect the cello is the exact opposite of the organ, where players are encouraged to keep their knees together.

Well he did say it was a private thread, so perhaps we have to pay for gatecrashing.

He should have put up one of these.

I'm sure I would carry out my duties in a professional manner, Margaret. Yes, I can just picture myself at Heathrow in my uniform. "I'm afraid your cello recital will have to be delayed, Ms Clein. You've set off the metal detector, and now I have to follow the correct procedures."

Just don't tell anybody about the push button under your desk that tests the detector alarm ................................. whenever a suitably nubile wench approaches

Unsuitable material

I was asked whether the following clip was suitable for inclusion in the thread - it isn't, so please don't watch it.
