Online Band Contest

This isn't anything of mine, but I get almost as excited. This domain, so far, has 12 pages of ten bands each, that are easy to see and listen to, some bands up to six or seven songs and some with vids. You can comment and vote. Entrants are Canadian. This contest originates in Niagara Falls as a local performance event with an online audition contest and doesn't seem to have any restrictions on what bands can enter.

If you only visit to listen to this effort on the first page, bands listed alphabetically, please hear "aliciatait" from Edmonton as "Lonely Woman". You'll feel her calling out to you, and look into the "photo" portrait, leaning in from right and left to see an onscreen effect.

As a login "Fan" hoping to win as a judge-host, you have your own profile and photo album and can upload one or more videos, still open. I contacted management to suggest keeping this domain activated as an annual online contest generating local events.

How wonderful would it be for me locally if Mr. Magle put up a quick profile and one of his recorded compositions, saying I recommended the domain and he likes to promote live music and his domain. This may be public and business, but just standing next to the thunder of Niagara Falls and witnessing it in all of nature, proclaims as natural sound the awe-full world of Our Heavenly Father. A free spiritual association for you too! And there are a few gigs for pipe organists in this city.
Peace and pure harmonics!

When I talked about the online contest, I suggested aliciatait, Edmonton, for "Lonely Woman". This same production team must be masquerading as Jodi King, Winnipeg, sounding the same but with my favorite song of the last don't know how many years, "Your Scars". That's because they achieve the same aural atmosphere with some of the musical signatures Jimi Hendrix used during his symphonic headphone overdubs. Now I see a band from Santa Monica CA as contestants, and Pierre Peters has got me reliant on the dancefloor Where. This just keeps getting more interesting. I'm going back to let "Your Scars" stretch and heal on my brain again.

Wow! Just to let you know how wrong I can be, after going to this contest to meet a contestant and an organizer. Alicia Tait deleted everything she could before the contest was over, so many musicians complaining about it being rigged and sure enough, a band that wouldn't make my top ten won, but the domain didn't follow up on the results.
Some of the tracks started bleeding together for some of the better contestants,
and some of the best instrumental breaks went missing.
These organizers from Toronto let everything come to them,
and didn't put out anything themselves.

Not only did they line you up with their online line,
they let you live your live music on their time too.

I did get a kick watching bands play with the river that generates the current behind them.

as always, John Watt
