Quite a few members list Avata but no one has mentioned that it is almost a remake of Dancing With Wolves. The similarities are marked.

The last film I remember seeing at a cinema (and I didn't like it) was "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" must be well over 30 years ago. I don't watch TV either, I can find better things to do with my time.

I have some new movies that has touch my heart. The last one
I watched was called The Rise of Darkari. I wished you could
look up this one. On the end of this movie, this tower is the
only thing standing and it plays a beautiful song called Prayer.

I just saw Soldier from 1998 with Gary Busey and Kurt Russell and really enjoyed it!

I suppose you have dozens of cinemas on your doorstep, I would have to travel to the next town 1 1/2 hrs drive one way so it's not worth the effort, but for a concert, well that's another matter

Recently saw the remake of Brighton Rock, the Graham Green classic. A very poorly attended charity do. Then re watched the original version with david Attenborough. Worth seeing as they managed to capture the atmosphere of Brighton, although the film had been updated to the sixties.

I have two favorites:
Apocalypse Now (the extended version makes it even better)
Spirited Away, animated film, very creative

More good films I can think of right now:
Peeping Toms ("Metzitzim")
Waltz with Bashir was sort of breakthrough documentary with the animation, very creative, good movie
Blood Diamond and The Departed (though I didn't like the end of both of them)

I like Documentary films, like Super Size Me and others.

Did not care for the directors cut of Apocalypse Now. The theft of the surfboard spoilt the atmosphere of the preceding scenes for me, and the stopover with the girls who had run out of fuel seemed unrealistic, considering the haste to reach their objective. Remember Willard shot the Vietnamese girl on the boat just to save time. However the original version is in my top ten, partly because of The Doors, and partly the opening scenes.
