In San Francisco, at the Palace of the Legion of Honor, I heard Tocatta and Fugue played on the grand, orchestral organ today. What a joy. So I returned to this fine site to hear it again. Another joy. Thanks.

Question: I enjoy hearing this on the computer. Is it possible to put it on my i-pod as well?

Best to all. Special thanks to Frederik Magle for this fine gift. :)

 Welcome to MIMF, John.

Wow - a super thread title. Frederik will be elated, I'm sure.

I think you can download that file by right clicking and "save link as" ... once imported to your PC, you should be able to upload it to your iPod, provided you have the required cables.

We hope you will enjoy your time here.

Thank you so much. You were exactly right. It was easy.
Toccata and Fugue are now on my I-Pod. So Johann and Frederik will be joining us in a few days when we go to Lake Tahoe. That is absolutely grand. So, thanks again.

You're most certainly welcome, John :tiphat:

Glad to have been able to help.
Have fun at Tahoe - beautiful part of the country - was there eons ago for a vacation.

I don't think there is a set time for an eon ... Eon is the English equivalent of "aeon", which means "age". For my post anyway, the eon is equal to about 35 years.

In geological terms I think an eon is about a billion years.
