Technically, I have seen a UFO, but it was rather a boring one - nothing like a flying saucer. I was walking across a field at dusk when something above the trees caught my eye. I don't really know what it was, but it appeared to be a piece of translucent material (eg clear polythene sheet) moving very smoothly and regularly on a circular path something like 40m off the ground and 50m in diameter. It was only because it was moving that I was able to see it. I wouldn't say it was extraterrestrial, but maybe something caught up by a rotating column of air? If such a thing can happen naturally it would also explain crop circles (but there is an alternative explanation: they are caused when a group of young farmers, a length of rope and a large quantity of alcohol come together). Anyway that was my one and only UFO sighting.

I have never seen a UFO, I have seen lights in the sky, but they were usually airplanes or stars.

What a complete load of bull dust ... the only UFO that's possible is grannies' false teeth shooting across the room after a hearty sneeze ....

Did see something that I can't as yet satisfactorily explain - any science-minded people may have an explanation though and I'd be interested. When I was a young lad, I was lying down on the back lawn during a warm summer evening staring up at the sky. I saw a light that was moving at a moderate speed. Now, I had seen plenty of satellites before and at first, this wasn't doing anything to suggest it was anything different. However, it then appeared to split in two and both lights then accelerated (in different directions) and disappeared.
That's the honest truth and I'd be happy to take a lie detector test on that. I was never given to seeing or imagining things. To this day I have no idea what it was, and not claiming it to be anything other than something unusual that I saw and can't explain.

You may have seen ball lightning, which is rare, but more and more accepted as genuine.. You can reproduce ball lightning in a microwave oven, but it used to be considered a hoax.. Read all about it..

I saw what I believe was a meteor once. It was a large shining green object moving with great speed across the sky.

I have seen quite a few meteorites but no flying saucers, except when I was married to my first wife.

Nope - and I used to be an amatur astronomer. Saw lots of fireballs, northern lights, stuff like that. Also a few strange storm effects- but no UFOs.

I have always kept this to myself but I experienced a very similar thing about 50 yrs ago, it was in the UK about Autumn, a very clear night I was in the country side looking at the wonderful display of stars I saw what appeared to be a star but moving in a straight line after about 1 minute it turned at 90deg not a normal turn but an immediate change in direction and continued until out of sight, and not a sound, never seen a thing since but I always wondered what it was, I am in CT camp and just can not accept that it was a flying saucer etc BUT????

Well corumphatism, I am serious, and still not a convincing explanation to date ??

I am convinced that flying saucers are just figments of the imagination and 99.99999 % impossible given the size of the UV
