Need help finding sow jazz please

Hello this my first post here and new to jazz as a whole and all my other attempts on the web have so far failed to find the type of jazz im looking for so hope someone will be kind enough to help .if you was to go to amazon .com you can here a sample of music from the theme music to the film random hearts the track is called looking for peyton and this is the type of music i want and wonder is there a name for it or any artist that only plays this very slow type of jazz as most of the suggestions so far seem to be to quick or its slow but has sudden quick bits here and there which i dislike as i want jazz that i could fall to sleep to and these quick bits bring me out of the relaxed state i was in i realy need it to be as close to this as possible . First of all, welcome to the forum, Chris.

Second of all, have you ever heard of punctuation? It would really make reading your post easier.

And now to your question. I guess you should be looking for jazz ballads, although I don't think it's a style as such. It's quite popular among jazz musicians. I guess you could listen to Miles Davies, Diana Krall, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrrett or any other artist.

Hi Chris, there's really no easy way to find slow jazz apart from listening to samples on Amazon or register with Last.fm (free in UK)

Select artists or albums and listen, taking note of tracks that you like, then download just the tracks you want from Amazon or other MP3 source.

Buying CDs you would usually get a mix of slow and up tempo tracks.

A couple of slow tracks I like are tracks 13 & 14 here
