    Now this IS interesting ...

Now this is interesting, what seems to be an organ with hand-pumped bellows still working.

I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

It does have a good sound to it. People also still play the antique
    reed organs too.

Many years ago the church where I was organist suffered a power cut and we discovered the hand pumping lever still worked, though I think some sort of indicator to show the level of air in the reservoir must have been missing. My brother hand-pumped it for the morning service, and was a little too enthusiastic as every stop was louder than usual and I could hear air hissing from every joint. For the evening service it was the opposite problem. An elderly lady bravely volunteered, but her work rate was so inadequate I was limited to a solitary Dulciana. Not the most interesting of jobs, it has to be said. Thank Heaven for electricity!
