Rules

Hi! I think this looks like a good forum. But is it necesarry to have such a strict policy? -

You might be right in what your doing as I dont know enough about forums.
I have only experience on the Propellerheads forum. There a fewer rules,
but it seems as if the users themself guard the forum, because they want it
clean. But thats also another forum than this one - its connected with the
Propellerhead software and you need a lisenced copy to even register to
the forum. Not attractive to spammers. Too high entry costs:grin:.

But now I just posted in the Music & Web Site Reviews - Be Reviewed
forum; asking people to review my new website and music in the making.
But I was quite surprised! It has to go through a moderator before it will even
be posted. I did read the rules by Frederik in the sticky post, but it didn't say
anything about that! -? So that makes me sad.

All respect for your supervision on this subject, but wouldnt it be a shame if
you scare away newcomers by a too strict policy? -

I would really appreciate if someone could find time to answer me on this.
Thanks.

Hi franks,

A valid question that certainly deserves a valid answer.
First, let me state that your post in the above mentioned forum area has been approved and is now visible.

The reason it went into moderation is that our resident spam bot, in an attempt to catch spam (which btw, catches 98% of the spam postings), and based upon the information it has been programmed with, may at its option, flag certain postings with certain hyperlinks.

When a posting contains certain hyperlinks like (i.e. "click here" or "enter here"), the resident spam bot will flag it for the forum staff.

We have rules in place to keep this site as orderly as possible. Frederik Magle, the site Owner/Administrator, has worked diligently to make this forum as accessible and friendly to all age groups.

Thank you very much, Krummhorn! - It makes perfectly sence now.
And thanks for the approval:). - So it would be better to try to avoid
"spammer words" - ´like... oeps - I better not mention them here
then >""< he´ -

That is also truly my impression, and one of the reason why I would like to
spent time in here! - I fully understand and respect the idea of rules.
In fact I like a lot of the rules in here, as they really do keep order
and easy accessibility. - Thank you for the time you spent and the quick
respons!
