On a recent organ crawl in Norway Jarle Fagerheim and I visited the Church of Levanger, which is about 80 kms from Trondheim. The organ was built in 2003 by the Norwegian firm of Torkildsen and is a very fine instrument. The quality of workmanship and the voicing are of the highest order. The III/38 instrument has tracker action with aids to registration including a crescendo pedal, adjustable pistons and a sequencer. It is featured on the Public Downloads page of www.organsandorganistsonline.com including 12 photographs of the pipework, action, console and case in the Photo Galleries, a description and disposition in the Organs of Interest section and music by Bach played by Jarle Fagerheim and myself and an improvisation to demonstrate the tonal range of the organ.
