Hi GB,

If my memory serves me, the uploader VitaliyGR has recorded the Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate Publishing House for the selections - not the Synodal Choir which is considered to be one of the best, if not the best in Russia. The Choral Conductor at the Cathedral where I serve was the Conductor of the Synodal Choir for 19 years. He is also an M.D. specialising in Internal Medicine. Philippe Herreweghe who conducts the Collegium Vocale is also a Doctor, as is Samuel Wong who was Conductor of the Honolulu Symphony, which went bankrupt last year after having served Hawaii for 110 years. Oh, before I forget, one of the former Conductors of the Synodal Choir, Nikolai Matveev, who was considered to be the "MajorDomo" of the Moscow Synodical Choral School was an Architect by profession. Matveev was the pedagogue of the current Music Director of the Cathedral.
