Here are my favourite arias-

First of all, all of these arias are from Puccini`s 'Tosca', my favourite opera-

Thanx for a great topic. I like your pick of great arias Let me humbly add an aria that separates the men from the boys: *Largo Al Factotum Della Citta* from Rossini's *Il Barbiere Di Siviglia(Seville). A real crowd pleaser - written for the Baritone, not the Tenor!

I once heard/saw Maria Callas perform the Habanera from Carmen on tv- it was great...

I must share this with you all. It`s Maria Callas singing Vissi d`arte from Tosca. This in my opinion is the defining version of this aria. I have no words that can do it justice. Please have a listen, and tell me what you think.

I must say I love "The Queen Of The Night" from Mozart's The Magic Flute. I've never been a fan of later opera

It's funny, I've always loved the Queen of the Night's arias in The Magic Flute, but Pamina's never really struck me until I saw the opera just before the summer and the singer who sang Pamina was absolutely captivating. Liking a piece depends a lot on its performance potential by various singers, for me.
