Hallo to all from Buenos Aires

Hallo folks. I'm a mature (!) guy from Buenos Aires (I assume
you all know that is the capital of Argentina). I used to be a
fanatic CDs collector (not anymore; I can't go on buying it),
but I got a small collection of about 1800 and very specialized
on chamber instrumental, string with orch.and solo piano. I've
nothing lirics, no opera, almost nothing symphonic. And I've
a lot of historicals (that means,before LPs.,since 1899 to 1945).and many,many "rarities". I begin with Bach and end with Shostakovich.

I wouldn't be a kentuckian if I didn't like violins. They call them fiddles
here though.

Say Krummhorn; about the sentence that professionals
practice until they can't get it wrong, is of course relative.
On live concertos, even the greatest masters can made
mistakes. But they can play wrongly on purpose.
I've a CD copied from a very rare LP, in which the great
Heifetz try to show how you must NOT play the violin.
He played a Mozart's and a LvB's violin sonatas so badly
that you won't never recognized him: wrong notes, bad
intonation, almost without vibrato, insecure and trembling
bow,and awful interpretation. But you must be a real
master to play so badly deliberately.

I appreciated your comments about the signature phrase. The late Victor Borge was another prime example of being good enough to play the wrong notes intentionally.
