I am new to classical music, although I have always had a great respect for it. I’m looking for a good place to start.

I like pretty much all music, mostly music I can get into (almost head banging good) I've tried to find a classical music "group" that might fit into my tastes. Please no sappy or "romantic" classical but more deep and uuummm rocking classical.

Thanks a lot in advance for your input:grin:

Welcome to the forum. I would start out with someone like Mozart
to listen to. His music can be simple and also Strause's pretty waltzes.

Welcome aboard mrmiesta - Please do make yourself feel right at home and stay for a while. You mentioned that you wanted no sappy romantic classical music but deep "rocking" classical - Ok, here's an excerpt of a piece that will rock your world - click on the link below:

Thanks :)

Thanks a lot for all of the replies, didn’t think I would get that big of a response. I’m going to be gone for the weekend to a music festival, after that I’m going to check out those suggestions.

Again thanks a lot:grin:
