That lucky lad, Ian Tracey ... having studied with Rawsthorne on that very Willis instrument ... Got to be a dream come true for him - and he's got the talent for it, too.

I would be lucky enough to even look at the console, let alone ever play it.

Sweet Corn - that first link is from one of my favourite organ composers, I had no idea that opening few bars were for the pedals alone as I've never sighted the music.

I treasure my L-W CD, his music is just so quirky.

The Liverpool Willis is such a superfantabulous instrument - For me at least, it ties in to the top three in no particular order: St. Sulpice C-C, Liverpool Willis, and The Wanamaker. These are the ultimate instruments IMHO...

The Sydney Town Hall Organ used to be in my top three, then I heard the Liverpool Willis...:whistle::p:grin:

Fair call, I love the Town Hall Organ because I'm a Sydneysider, so that's my reasoning AND I've had the rare priviledge of crawling around its innards.
