Seasonal miscellany

There's some lovely Christmas music being posted over in the classical forum, but I thought we could use somewhere to share other festive things.

This one brings back memories of being dressed in one of Mum's old petticoats, wearing wings made from wire coat hangers and trying to remember when I was supposed to say "fear not ..."

Oh I remember when I was in many christmas plays like that. I was three
years old when kids that year did it. It wasn't until 68 that I was in one.
One year we did carols and I got to play them.

Gosh, Her Maj was so young and so gorgeous. Listening to her speak about the challenges of modern society ... not much has changed at all. I was, however, hanging out for "my husband and I"!

Here is something quite trashy. Please don't click if you are offended by comedy about religion. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=zKDC2iBQTYg

BTW ... I wasn't around until four Christmases later!

Wow, Stephen (and welcome back!). Thanks for the Raymond Briggs clips (love them) and those fantastic photos.

Come on down to the southern hemisphere. It's a bad hair quarter (at least!) and, for us girlies, make up simply melts off.

Here's something, er, trashy but tasty - http://quiz.marthastewart.com/quiz/97 .

I'm Molasses-Gingerbread Cookies!

Cheers

^^

I took the cookie quiz; seems I'm Molasses-Gingerbread Cookies as well. I actually prefer sugar cookies though.

This thread is fun; really gets one into the spirit. Thanks everyone. :)
