Our colleague Ms. Judy seems perplexed about that colourful knitted quilt. I have looked at it a few times and it seems to me that it shouldn't be too hard to put together completed *squares*. It seems to me that whoever did this project made separate single colored *patches* and then knitted them together with the others. What sayest thou? Maybe I'm missing something here....

No you are not missing anything. All that is needed is to knit some squares, if I remember rightly, start with one stitch increase to thirty six, then decrease back to one stitch, then cast off.

My mother and I used to knit squares, to make blankets for charity.
