Most strange looking gear. Possibly a pre-amp, but there are no other connections visible - certainly is old. Are there any other connections on the opposite end?

With all the advances in electronics, this whole chassis is probably the size of a paperclip today, and not worth much to the common market. Can't find anything on this unit during an internet search.

Gedrückt translates to "depressed" - Must be if one presses down on that knob, it adjusts the mono channel.

Netz tranlsates to "network" and ein is "one". kontrolle is "control".

What kind of electrical connection does it have?

It's got to be a pre-amp or power supply for some sort of oleder audio equipment.
One identifiable transistor (at the far left) is a 2N3055 which is a general purpose transistor rated at 100v, 15A with a gain >2.5 MHz. These began their use in the 60's as a power transistor, mounted (like this one is) on a heat sink so that they didn't overheat.

There seems to be only one "input" and one "output" which would signify (and confirm from the gain switch on the front) that this was monophonic (as opposed to being stereo) which could date it back 40 years from present.

It's value is probably greater as scrap metal than as a working piece of electronic gear.
