Ariel Ramos is a composer and pianist and has been teaching music to students of all ages, for more than 15 years.
He is a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a major in Film Scoring.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Ariel Ramos started his career as a pianist at the age of 6 inspired and taught by his grand mother, Ofelia Vidal, who was a renowned concert pianist. At the age of 15 he received first place in the AEMUS competition and a scholarship to study with Omar Naranjo. He has also been awarded first place at the Cluzeau Mortet piano competition and was also nominated for a Florencio Sanchez for best music for the play “The Maids”.

In 1997 he received the Berklee Writing and Composition Scholarship and moved to Boston to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music. He is now established in Florida teaching, performing and composing music for film, TV and chamber music, arranging from small to large ensembles and performing jazz, latin and chamber music in the area.

Ariel is one of the orchestra piano players for the Royal Caribean and Holland American cruise lines orchestras where he has performed for several famous artists such as “The Platters”, “Bobby Arvon” (composer for happy days), “Sha Na Na” and many others. He has been the staff accompanist and private music teacher at American Heritage School in Plantation for the last five years.

In 2011 he performed at Carnegie Hall in New York with the National Youth Choir. As a composer he holds many credits including the music ID for Warner Bros. TV shows “Pushing Daisies” and Terminator “The Sarah Conor Chronicles”; cues in Nickelodeon; several TV commercials and has written soundtracks for many short and featured independent films.
