Is there a "midi learn" type function in the free edition?
I'm using an Axiom 61 as a controller keyboard, and in MyOrgan I was easily able to assign stops to various pushbuttons on my keyboard using midi learn. I am baffled on how to do this with Hauptwerk.
Did an experiment yesterday. Cakewalk is offering is sample player SFZ+ for free download for the holidays. (go get it off their holiday sale page - its FREE).
I downloaded and installed it. Just for kicks, I took a single wave file from the ottel organ set. a middle C. I imported it into the...
I can run MyOrgan pretty much trouble free with every sample set I've tried anyway. Haptwerk seems to be fine with the free edition anyway too.
But, I tried a few different versions of the Virtual organ company's products, and can only really get the ultra stripped down free version working...
Help me understand my pipe organ tastes.
I don't like big organs (haha)
Basically I like small intimate stops, whether they be meditative string like stops, or bubbly little flute like stops. What I most dislike is your standard 8 4 2 1 principals with that big most easily identifiable sound.
I...
The title says it all.
I'm thinking of new laptop, does myorgan work with windows vista?
Should I have any problems using my e-mu 0404 with vista and myorgan?
Is it reasonable to say that if you have a sample set of wav files for any instrument - (1 .wav file per note) as long as you understand the myorgan file format (.organ) you can make it 'work'.
In other words, you could take a sample set that is intendet for Hauptwerk 2.5 and as long as you...
So who thinks this is a terrible thing.
What prompted this for me is a youtube clip where someone was playing a Bach prelude on synthesizer instead of organ (using pedals and everything) and some commenter called it a 'travesty' saying 'Bach organ music should only be played on the organ'.
On...
Step 1 has been achieved. For $20 I got an old Lowrey Virtuoso organ with a broken key. I plan to strip the Leslie out for a friend, and extract the pedalboard (1 octave).
Now I want to convert the pedalboard to Midi. I understand there are kits for such things? Where do I go from here?

What do ya think? Made it myself cause I wanted the speakers up, and I wanted a wide music stand.
I've been trying to glean from the internet (mostly from here http://www.concertartist.info/organhistory/begin.htm)
Basically it sounds like only in the mid 1700s and after (except for Germany which was earlier) did you start to see Pedalboards bigger than an octave or so, if at all. Can...
What a find this sub-forum is for me.
I've been messing around with a soft synth 'Z3TA' to create my 'versions' of small portative, positive and chamber organ kinda patches. I just heard about Myorgan 5 minutes ago. Can it be true? Does it really work well? I tried running Miditzer but the...
I used to be a fan of some of the Windam Hill stuff (remember them). Some of Shadowfax - particularly Too Far to Whisper, I hated Dreams of Children, also Scott Cousseau. I'm also fond of Pat Metheny, Spyro Gyran, Bjork and some of Bill Lazwell's stuff. I generally like some ambient stuff too...
So...I really like early music: medieval, rennaisance, etc.
But the pipe organ kind of grates on me after a while though. (at least the big pull out all stops sound). Harpsichord kind of gets to me after a while too.
So, really, what the heck is wrong with using different sounds than that to...
I should have posted this in introductions because thats kind of what it is, but no one ever reads those do they?
Anyway, this is me.
I've been out of the keyboard game for a long time. Just getting back in. I'm very interested in medieval, rennaisance and some baroque music.
I'm chiefly...
