Русский язык является фонетическим

Google says: Russian language is phonetic.

That does not tell me much because I was abused by the U.S education system as a kid by being subject of the look-say reading experiment and so am a dunce at phonetics. I used to mispronounce words all the time. My wife is a teacher and did much work with phonetics and is amazed at my inability to sound out words. I have improved with her coaching, but it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

I can understand your problem, English is a difficult language to pronounce correctly even by the Brits and the phonetic system just would never ever work, whereas Russian with the odd exception is a piece of cake, but even that changes over time as do all of them.
