Opening in weapon embargo towards china.

interesting..

after the massacre on the student rebellions in Beijing in 1989, weapon embargos were put down upon china. In the mean time the only real weapon exporter to china has been Russia.

now the EU is starting to open up towards weapon sale towards China, which I could imagine is a severe thorn in the eye to the US, due to their program of trying to prevent China becoming a super power and a thread to US unilpolarity.

US' main accuse have been that EU maximizes the threat that China is to Taiwan, but I think that there is way more to it than just this.

Personally I think it is a very bad idea to sell weapons to China, but it is a very huge market..

any thoughts on this?
