Rating The Jazz Piece Above Me

Nice piece stu. Deserves a 9.0

I have to admit I hold more regard for some of the animals have had than a lot of the humans have known.

This piece rates as blues with me although some of the purists might disagree.

I give that a 10/10 Teddy.

Now, I am sorry but I can't download from You Tube, my computer has developed a few problems.
Don't have a clue as to the problem. Not as easy or straightforward even getting on line!!
Maybe downloaded something dodgy. I was getting an awful lot of pop ups but seemed to fix that problem, but since then it's all downhill!!

Have you tried Microsoft Fixit stu. Its a free programme from Microsoft and it tends to cure a lot of niggly problems. Worth looking at.

Great piano there (and the bass player wasn't bad) A 9.0

Ilove this for its simplicity

Even though I still am not a big fan of the guitar--be it acoustic or electric--as a jazz instrument, this man is obviously a virtuoso on this instrument, and he gives a beautiful and lyrical rendition of this moving melody. I also get the impression that he is an extremely humble and sensitive person, which goes a long way with me. I would give this an 8/10 based on these factors alone. here is another evocative performance by a musician who was taken from us far too soon. In this instance, I would definitely change my opinion on the guitar being used in a jazz performance, thanks to Pat Metheny's astral playing:

Coming through fine stu. A great piece of music and two great performers. A resounding 10.0

Now I will have to find something, unless I am beaten to it.

Great piece, Stu. Despite the frenetic pace, nobody ever missed a beat. at least as far as I could discern. I am familiar with Sam Jones from some of his work with Cannonball and can hear why Peterson is considered such a great musician {though I am not as conversant with his output as I should probably be}. Durham's drumming was spot on as well. 10/10.
Here's one of my favorites by Trane, mellow and driving at the same time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=fLPK5PFh5QQ
