Well, that worked-again!! This downloading is taxing my non existent brain. Will it work or won't it work! The suspense is too much!!
I apologise to for any inconvenience.

Oscar Pettiford In Europe. Bass and Cello. Lost Tapes-with Hans Koller, excellent guitarist Attila Zoller; etc.
Oscar Pettiford Orchestra. The complete Big Band and studio recording plus At Birdland - with Art Farmer; Lucky Thompson; Gig Gryce; Gen Quill;
Tommy Flanagan; Benny Golson; Donald Byrd; Kenny DorhamJimmy Cleveland etc.
(On some tracks a harpist is present. On 'Gentle Art Of Love' is sounds like Debussy is in the house)

Hi cwarchc, I haven't heard this one in it's entirety. I usually enjoy some chunks of Sun Ra. John Gilmore especially.
On this one I am not so sure about the clavinet, but that's just me.

Ben Webster Live In Amsterdam.CD.
Lester Young- Live In Boston 1950. CD

I'm a fairly new convert to Sun Ra.
However I have to say, this one is probably best taken in bite sized pieces

I adore ALove Supreme, but I totally understand it's not for everyone. There's what I can only describe as a confrontational quality to the music, a kind of battle or an outpouring of confrontational emotions that can make it hard work to sit through, even for those who are fans. But, like Mingus' The Black Saint... sometimes when you are in the mood for it, absolutely NOTHING else will do.
