Colin,
I've looked at Spotify and then Amazon as I should have at the start.
CDs are available with melly on his own and with Mulligan, Digby Fairweather and John Chilton.
With Mulligan there is:
"Meet Mick Mulligan and George Melly" 2nd hand only
"Goodtime George" £3.49 from Amazon UK (also download at same price)
"Ravers" download only at £6.99
"Live Mick Mulligan and his Jazz Band" Buy from Amazon UK £10.99
"The Pye Jazz Anthology" New and 2ndhand from Amazon UK (With Mulligan and Chilton
The download options are probably your best immediate bet.
If you want more about Melly with Fairweather and Chilton let me know

Cheers John

According to Wikipedia Mulligan closed down the Magnolia Jazz Band in the early 1960s to manage Melly who was commencing a solo career. he later opened a Grocery Shop.

Hi Colin,
Back to Mick Mulligan and George Melly.
I have a double Cd "Great British Jazz: Just About as Good as it Gets". This derives from numerous different Albums.
This includes 4 tracks by Mulligan (2 of them with Melly).
CD1 Track14 "You've got the right key but the wrong Keyhole" w. Melly - 1956 MCA Music

Dont know if this helps.

Cheers John
Re the above track, I think this is a good example of his sense of humour which was very evident in his public life, the point being is (for those that have not heard of him) he was homosexual.

Hi Colin,To be fair to Melly, after his younger days he became hetero- (or perhaps at least bi-), and married with kids.

And that is one thing George Melly was not short of. A sense of humour. It really came across in his performances.
