This is a very honest and open-minded forum,
administered by gracious and honourable musicians, world travellers,
but while I was away I thought of a gap here, an interesting one.
I'd like to start a discussion about this.
I know it must be difficult for a symphonic player to truly appreciate modern rock.
The symphonic world has evolved for so long, there are so many instruments,
and symphonies have grown to be a stage packed with players.
Modern rock is just as exciting onstage, even if the mentality,
and the ever-growing totality of instruments and amplifiers grows.
There's a big difference from lush instrumentation,
to three or four players filling the sound void.
It's not what you play, it's what you don't play,
was the call for mature rock players.
