I would hardly call torillas unusual food ... however!! I guess if you live in Nepal they might very well be. Unusual for me is "dolsot bibimbap" ...

Hey CT64
Are you going to give us a clue as to what dolsot bibimbap is ??

I guess I live a somewhat mundane culinary life. The most unusual food I have had is curried chrysalis-very similar to shrimp (prawn) in both texture and taste.
I have eaten raccoon, squirrel, possum, alligator. These were from a sportsmans dinner and they were covered so much in various gravies and sauces you could hardly taste the meat.

I was reading up on the breadnut tree that grows in Southern Mexico
where the ancient Mayan ruins are located. I never had anything like
that but, I live where finding anything exotic can be tough. There used
to be hickory nut trees all over Kentucky and blackberries. Now these
plants are scarce. People used to eat these things when the crops
didn't make it that year here and Mexico. The breadnut had many
uses for the Maya for food and resin to make the stucco for their big
structures.

Ever had 100% cacao chocolate with absolutely no milk or sugar? You
have to flavor the black chocolate yourself with something or you could
not stand it.

Hi Ms. Margaret,

Yep, they were all pretty gross - BLECHHH!!!

Over here we have Mochi Ice Cream in the Costco stores which are small balls of ice cream within an outer layer of pounded Mochi rice - really good!!! Then there is green tea ice cream and my personal favorite Saffron w/Honey ice cream.

Cheers,

CD :):):):)
