Can anyone afford this?

A burger touted as the most expensive in the world is going on sale in the UK.

Simply named The Burger, Burger King's £95 sandwich contains flame-grilled Wagyu beef topped with white truffles in an Iranian saffron and truffle bun.

It is challenging Guinness World Record history by beating a similarly extravagant American Double Truffle Burger which cost £65 in 1994.

Sounds like a total con, anyone prepared to waste that sort of money on food needs their head read.

CT64,

There are a few eateries here in town where you can easily pay more than that for an entree - needless to say only those with very discretionary income will frequent those places, and they have been in constant operation ever since I arrived in 1992 - So, apparently it goes very well for them.

Hi all, The friviolity is noted. For me I would'nt touch this type of "food" with a barge-pole. I grow my own. Cheers Raymond:):):)

The Japanese who raise the Cattle for Kobe Beef will gladly show you what *homegrown* really means. They are as free-ranging as the Long-horn Cattle in Texas - No steroid induced or boxed-in creatures there.
