Yes, it's a mix of most popular songs from all James Bond movies. Starting with Dr. No from 1962 and ending on Casino Royale from 2006. This is actually quite nice collection. There's also a collection of pictures of all James Bond's women that is part of this album:grin:.

Here are some titles:

Nancy Sinatra - You only live twice
Paul McCartney & Wings - Live And Let Die
Tina Turner - Goldeneye
Chris Cornell - You Know My Name
and much more.

Regards,
Mat

You forgot some more. For your eyes only and Diamonds are forever
for James Bond movies.

On a windy cloudy saturday morning, I need some cool chill out music to awake the old bones in my body, while I have my usual coffee (can´t seem to stop this old habbit - drinking coffee).

So on a morning like this. What could possibly be better for this than the duo John McLaughlin (acoustic guitar) & Chick Corea (piano)?. The song is "Turn Around" 10:43.

Both John (originator of the Mahawishnu Orchestra), who is my most favoured guitarist of all in jazz/classical music, and Chick (R.T.F. and Originations) whose records I have always loved, made this one time duo and recording at July 15th at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1981.

If any of you guys want this album on your shelves, you better prepare yourself for a chock. It belongs to a hole set of 16 albums in John McLaughlin´s name, all recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival during the years 1974-1999, released by Warner Bros., Schwitzerland 2000. To get this one you have to buy the lot.

So if you don´t have reasonable good relations to your bank, not to mention your every day partner in life - don´t even think about it. It´s a heavy economical investment.

Is it worth it then? One can not discuss taste. But if you´re into John McLaughlin and have followed his career in jazz, I will say yes.

Now ya all have a great weekend.

Best regards,

beach boys and some surf music.

Home Alone - John Williams

Hi Mat.

I´ll play along with John Williams on classical acoustic guitar with strings in the back, that awesome tune "Cavatina" from the american anti-war movie "The Deerhunter" from a time in all our history, where we were young(-er). It´s from an album "Cavatina", which Peter bought on an auktion .

The "test" from you worked Mat, straight into my inbox :D;):):grin: I love it:cool::cool::cool:

It seems the MIMF has two of a kind of the twins Albert E.

Awsome Mat.

Best regards,

Im down for some Beach boys!!! I wish they all could be California giiiiirls.... :)

Hi Muza and methodistgirl on a sunday morning, figured I owed you this one below about the californian giiiiiirls in the colour of the sun:

"Wouldn´t It Be Nice" by Brian Wilson/Tony Asher.

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together
In the kind of world where we belong

You know its gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together

Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through

Happy times together we've been spending
I wish that every kiss was neverending
Wouldn't it be nice

Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do
We could be married
And then we'd be happy

Wouldn't it be nice

You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But lets talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice

Good night my baby
Sleep tight my baby

Best regards,

I am interested in music which has depth, mystery, combines simplicity with orchestral sound, and, above all, is inventive. In this category, I like the following:

Floratone
Hector Zazou - the French Peter Gabriel
Pat Metheny - and his pianist, Lyle Mays
Tal Wilkenfeld - one of the best female guitarists and only 21 (and Australian!)
Peter Sculthorpe - love his soundscapes like 'Requiem" (and Australian, again)
Tunng - roots with a difference
plus:
Herbie Hancock
Trio Music
Nicola Hitchcock
Stanley Clarke

Here are some links (hope they work):

I just finished listening to Yanni "VOICES" Part I. OMG this is awesome, music for everyone`s taste. Yanni has taken a new direction with his music, and added 4 talented singers. The music is simply amazing.

This morning I took my ”rocking shoes on”. A long time ago, so the old favorites visits the turntable.
Uncle Tupelo, Bonnie Raitt, Janis Ian, Eleanor McEvoy, Ray Charles, Robert Plant has deliveret a very fine time. Outside it is raining, nearly storm too. Inside candlelight, vinyl and now lunch with a little cup of red wine – life can be quite good.
