No thanks Mike,.............. just her address!

But seriously folks.... Obviously I have no experience in these matters, but those of you who do engage in sado-masochistic practices should take health and safety issues very seriously. It is important to agree on a suitable safe word beforehand. It might be Red, it might be Mercy, or whatever else takes your fancy. Be particularly careful in mixed language scenarios. Encounters between English speakers and French speakers have been known to go horribly wrong. Imagine the scene ...

The English speaker cries out (with a growing sense of urgency):

    Mercy! Mercy! Mercy!

But what does the French speaker hear?

    Merci! Merci! Merci!

    It's a mad world

Hi Rojo! Hope the hangover's better, Mike! Now this thread may be a bit crazy, but there are even madder people out there in the real world. At our local tip (or "Waste Reception Site" as they call it for short) there is a sign at the entrance which reads something like this ...

So that we can close the site on time, these gates will be locked 10 minutes before the advertised closing time.

Honestly, I'm not making it up.

Well, to be honest John, I think I know why they write that; because often there's a large number of people who get places at the last minute, and then there's a line up, and then the place doesn't get closed until after the said hour of closing. Although it does sound ridiculous, they probably lock people from entering 10 minutes before closing, and only let who ever is left in, out. Hope that made sense.

That said, I'm in complete agreement with you on the fact that there are truly mad people out there, and it is a mad world indeed. I'm trying desperately not to dwell on that fact. Lately, I find it ain't easy. Good thing there are fun threads like this to bring some comic relief to my world. There's good mad, and bad mad, I guess. In any case, on with the drunken nonsense!

Btw, it just occurred to me that this thread is in the open debate forum. Was there something that was being debated?

Yes, but why don't they simply advertise the latest admission time? As a customer it's of no interest to me what time the staff want to go home, what I want to know is what is the latest time they'll let me in. Imagine driving 10 miles, thinking you've got 9 minutes to spare, and then finding the gate locked.

Rojo, I had a feeling you were going to say that sooner or later! If you want to move it to the chit-chat forum I won't object (and Mike's too drunk to notice anyway ).
