TDave you will find the more you practice the easier it commons as far as speed of reading and performing technique is concerned.Spend an amount of time just sight reading also as well as detail practice of certian peices.another trick is to find a copy of the piece you are leaning ( maybe off youtube, cd, dvd etc ) and practice playing along with them.. an interesting exercise.
