Hi!

Long time since I was here. But now I come with a recording from Friday. So please enjoy the great music of Bach, played by Markus Wargh in Lulea Cathedral.

Enjoyed the performance and the beautiful sounding instrument. Always prefer the "wet" sound which many cathedrals emmit

Thanks Janne

That was rather beautiful.
The Passacaglia played in pretty much the manner I enjoy and consider 'correct' (whatever that may mean) :)
Very interesting to see that Mr Wargh helps himself to the pedal in Variation 15 (The Arpeggios) to bring out the underlying bass theme which lies hidden in the harmonies in the arpeggios in that variation. First time I have seen this :)

As a side note: I find it thrilling to see with which visual ease the performer plays. His hands and feet glide over the keys with little apparent physical force needed to move his limbs. Observing the different techniques of organists is sometimes as exciting as just listening to their performances :)

Best regards
Ryan

Easily one of the better performances that I've heard in some time of this magnificent piece. Very nice - thanks for posting.
