Dear all,
as I wrote recently, I am setting up my third gen VPO with GO and jOrgan under Ubuntu Linux. In addition the hardware is three midi-keyboards and a midi pedalboard. Also I have two 19" flatscreens, one being a touchscreen.
A similar setup, except for the touchscreen, worked fine under Win but I am now aiming for better performance and hence has gone to Linux.
I have installed everything and it kinda works, except for the jOrgan that is not properly working when I go into full screen mode.
The aim is to keep one screen as system console with the Ubuntu desktop and dedicate the touchscreen for jOrgan.
The screens are set up with the touchscreen as a separate X-screen.
GO and jOrgan is set up to start on the ordinary screen, and works fine. When jOrgan goes into full screen mode, it opens on the separate X-screen as intended BUT, the screen goes into a blueish colour with nothin else visible. But, if I hover the cursor on the bluish background it turns into a fingerpointer when it passes the stops and other things that is there, however, being invisible... I can also poke my finger there and sure enough, the GO stops on the other screen will change in sync. If I again press F11 jOrgan reverts back from full screen mode again as expected.
So, most of it works, except for the blueish screen that is not so exciting...
If I configure the touchscreen as an ordinary screen and set it up as a wide desktop, it all works fine except for the touchfeature calibration that is spread out also on the non-touch screen... So at least the touch screen is not broken, it just doesn't work with jOrgan in full screen mode on the X-screen.
Is there anybody out there that has a similar setup or otherwise have some ideas? I am running low on ideas now...
Regards
Christer
