Not at all Colin place the symbols in a triangle, W (watts) on top, V (volts) and I (amps) on the bottom read as follows W=VxI, V=W/I, I=W/V same sort of things for Ohms Law, Volts, Anps and Ohms V on top, I & R (ohms) on the bottom V= IxR, I=V/R, R=V/I; do you want the resistance colour code too?

Say you have an electric device, Kettle, Fire or ---? you want to know what size fuse to use, Kettle 3KW (3,000 Johns) supply voltage 250 volts 3000/250 = 12 so a 13 amp fuse is closest usually available in UK, small electric fire say 1Kw 1000/250 =4 so a 5 amp should do the job.

Jeeeeezzzz it was only a joke :cool::smirk::D:confused::crazy:

Amp = as watt I have in my HiFi
Watt = my normal teenage smart arse remark
Volt = wait a minute Volt? hmmmmmmmmmmm oh I remember where I keep all my Gold bars.

Nice pictures Mike. I was reading about another line which is extending, but can't for the life of me remember which one it was

Swanage are reconnecting to the main line, hope to be running regular service by 2015, one of the lines in Kent can't remember which tho. North Norflok maybe as well, numerous others with plans but not enough cash.

Its a shame that the Talyllyn line can not go any further but there are two very steep inclines between the current end of line and the old quarry and they required winding engines.
The quarry is a haunting and in the Summer, beautiful place.
