Jazz in a Classic Mood

Bandwagon jumping is a good term teddy. Some jazz musicians had classical training and can switch back to playing classical very well but for someone who is immersed in classical with no hands on experience in jazz it is extremely unlikely that they will perform in a fluid and convincing way. You have to feel jazz within you to be convincing, IMHO that is.

Thanks for the nudge towards Chico Hamilton. Excellent stuff. How jazz can be beautiful and also swing.
Buddy Collette's laid back solo, and the ever tasteful guitar of Jim Hall.
Cellist Fred Katz was also a group member later.
