When heavy metal first was making it as a term, I was saying heavy mental.
Even though I've got all the effects, being into Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple first,
I never got into the grindcore, screamo, goth, industrial, whatever.
However, I'm in one of my favorite magle.dk positions,
listening and watching the video while I'm typing these comments, following the action.
I know there's enough self generated and self promoted product that sounds like this,
and over here in North America that's been for a long time, so it can seem like a genre.
But it's not. I can only see movie soundtracks using this for demonics,
or a symphony or opera to illustrate the presence of the devil.
What's interesting for me right away is the video itself, shot outdoors by the ocean in Sweden.
I'm beside Lake Erie, yes, just a lake, but a big one that got eroded by glaciers,
looking in places just like the scenery shown here.
Thank you, thank you, for letting someone's girlfriend have a part in the video,
even if she's only getting wet by being immersed and drowned.
That was a half-hearted attempt to bring her back to life, so I'm thinking band resentment.
It was nice to see some Orange equipment, antique for me,
but all the equipment is old by North American standards.
Sweden is just beginning to get real notice in movies and ordinary news.
The size of northerners after the dark ages, when the plagues and black deaths ravaged Europe,
meant Danes, Swedes and other northerners were hired as the guards of kings and queens,
for southern royalties, being the shock troups for their armies too.
That's why Swiss are historic guards for the Pope in the Vatican.
Vikings are now being portrayed as intelligent explorers, traders and raiders,
going viking now understood as the term for their widespread foraging.
Please, please, don't waste this band effort by remaining this extremely one-dimensional vocal concept,
unless all you want to end up doing is playing to a stoned and drunken audience with no dancing.
It looks like you can afford your own, so I'd keep it that way, in the family, not onstage.
You are what you play, and it's others who will take you after that,
and over here that means bodies being left behind after gigs.
If a message in a bottle can be featured in your video,
maybe getting "Message in a Bottle" down can release you from your growling rage.
