For all we know they could be looking at this forum right now. If they say "take me to your leader," I hope Frederik is ready to meat them.

I don't know Colin. I have been trying to find some all my life. If it wasn't for this forum I would have no belief in it whatsoever.

Cockroaches have been around for a looong time. Might be we have to redefine our idea of what intelligent is.

I don't think cockroaches are particularly intelligent Hawk. I believe that they are merely very adept at surviving. Mind you, so am I.. I often think that I am rather like a rubber duck going over a waterfall. Eventually I bob back up to the surface

What does it mean to be intelligent??? We humans have created our own definition of this thing called intelligence and thrust it upon other beings. Needless to say there are few things in our world that will have the same intelligence as those who created the definition.

There is no doubt that we share intelligence with other animals on this planet. Whales, dolphins etc certainly can be classed as having innate intelligence. So can a lot of other creatures such as parrots, elephants chimps etc. Are they less intelligent than us or merely use their intelligence in a different manner. Which of us is more intelligent? Judging by the way some of the other creatures live it is tempting to assume that we are a little way down the scale. Our advanced technology should not be taken as the be all and end all of intelligence quota.

teddy our technology may kill or save us, but that gets us no nearer to defining intelligence, and I am not going to be the first to make a stab at it.
