I must be going potty. I had convinced myself that I had replied to your last message, but can find no trace of it, so must assume I did not. Great news regarding the treatment. You must feek much better now. Having said that, all that time with a catheter in! Thats a long time, with all the extra chance of an infection from it. I know they like to take them out as soon as possible. Hopefully you are now feeling much more positive about the future.
Sorry to hear about the marital situation re Florida. I have seen this happen so often. The children have left home, the mortgage is paid and suddenly the glue that has held the marriage together evaporates. So often couples stay together for financial reasons, but I am not convinced that is the answer, particularly if one is unhappy. If you find an answer please let me know. We could make a fortune marketing it.

Trust your wife is well on the way by now and you have not worn yourself to skin and bone running round. We work our arses off all our lives and just when we should be enjoying ourselves something happens. My cousin who I grew up with and who has just retired, does not smoke, drinks little and leads a healthy life goes in on the 27th to have a tumour removed from her spine in a two day operation. Where the hell did that come from. Anyway I hope you two are able to have some good time together. I believe you were talking about Florida?

Any progress on the Skype horison yet? I have spoken to a few of the guys, Mike, Colin Mat and rob, albeit briefly in some cases.
Trust your wife is recovered and that you are having a chance to enjoy your retirement. Most of my friends who are retired say that they do not know where they would find the time to work now.

Have you tried Skype yet? It is so simple to set up and use (even I managed it) and it has been fun talking to the members on line.

Steve! I was just looking at your old comments, one about Miles and Jimi. Miles hired a Stratocaster and Marshall stack using guitarist for concerts and it just sounded like he was making noise and playing all by himself, not fitting in with the band. I remember Miles Davis answering jazz questions about what he had on his turntable by saying Jimi Hendrix. I always thought Jaco Pastorius and Jimi would have been hot together.
I'm going to be riding my bike later on today, the Niagara Peninsula being the beneficiary of the best of global warming, between the bottom of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. I call it hybrid weather. I know it's February, but it looks and feels like late fall. Have a good one!

I have to admit I dont have much time for most of the modern progressive music I hear these days. The old stuff is far better. As far as the riots are concerned we have only had one smallish incident down this way, although I have to admit I have kept my gun handy at home, but we do live in a small quiet village. It mainly started with immigrants in the big cities and spread through all sorts of people who either like trouble or were bored. I know what my answer would be, and the solution would be very quick and at ten pence a cartridge very cheap. Keep well and speak soon.

Hi Stephen,

The best explanation for the missing emoticon from 2004 probably stems from one or more forum software upgrades since that time, and there have been several. As you might know, we use vBulletin as our forum software - when a new version is installed, it overwrites the old version, and re-installs the 'original set' of emoticons that come 'canned' with the software package. It could be that the boxing one was an add-on and not part of the standard offerings that come packaged in the vBulletin software upgrades. I joined the forum in Aug 2006 and haven't seen the boxing one since that time, so it must have fell by the wayside before then.
