    Hello Intet,

My Lady joked with me and said that I should woo Calabria. I asked why I should do that since I am already engaged to the woman of my dreams, to which my gal replied: "so that you have someone who looks like me whilst I am on my business trips". My reply: "I have no intention of losing the priceless diamond in my life because of unfaithfulness on my part". Well dear Sir, what happened next is my gal's and my secret.

Back on topic: "Best of the West" by Charlie Haden.

    Cheers,

Your Lady seems to know about men in generel, while on buisness trips . But tell her from me, I promise her as a man with good judgement of character and your friend, you would never even think of it, not even dream of it. I mean, who but your Lady would you then take off with in the silver 4 wheels horisontal rockets in the outback of the local redneck country ?

Besides, I can always if nessesary reprimande you, but I known you enough to be able to promise her - no problem.

Very good music btw. by Calabria. She reminds me of a south american female singer called Claudia Acuna, check out (while back on the music for today track) this album "Rhythm of Life" feat. CA (vocals), Childs/Lindner (piano), Leibowitch (trombone, flute), Dave Holland (double bass) and Freddie "Tain" Watts (drums).

Now back on track my friend - The country, address and phonenumber of Miss Calabria . What one does not do for a friend? .

    Hello Intet,

Yes, she's very much Italian but she was born and raised in upstate New York and now lives in Southern California as far as I know. Her phone number? Most single guys and a few married men would kill to get her phone number.

I tell ya - men are such ANIMALS - trouble is, animals do it because of instinct - humans go around lusting and drooling and making themselves a real pain in the butt - some people, unfortunately, go off the deep end and rape, torture, strangle, and kill the object of their desire. They rationalise their behaviour thinking that: "Hey, if I can't have her then nobody else can".

And we humans are supposed to be at the top of the food chain??? Just when you think that humans can't devolve any lower, some of them commit such atrocities which redefine how low one can really go.

    Cheers,

I know compadre. I read her biography, she surely looks italian, but realy nice music and she CAN sing. Upstate New York that might be close to Woodstock, the city which had an invation of 300.000 youngsters in 1969. At the time the biggest and the greatest Music Festival of peace, love making and music. I still have the 3 double vinyl album, where Jimi hendrix played a very different kind of The Star Sprangled Banner, than the one known from public schools.

I would have payed anything whatsoever to be there among this huge group. Though they at the time seemed to get more rain and mud than in a full year at Woodstock. I might even have offered at a special danish price to Carlos Santana to be understudy for Michael Shrive playing "Soul Sacrifice" on air-drums. That would have been awesome - at least for me

    Honestly Corno Dolce

Men who abuse, rape, assault, strike under age girls and women, are mostly pigs. I have non whatsoever respect on these guys. They should be lucked up, and then someone should gently throw away the key. There can not be any legal excuse for this kind of behaviour.

    Hello Intet,

The Woodstock Festival in '69 was held on Yasgur's Farm in Sullivan County, New York which is about 125 kilometers west of Woodstock, New York.

Many Italians and Irish arrived in New York when they emigrated to America. The Irish were a very disadvantaged lot when they arrived. By hook and by crook they were able to get elected to political office and then proceeded to hire mostly Irishmen to man the Police precincts and Fire stations. Here in the U.S. we call it "Irish Welfare". You'll still hear the use of the term "Paddy Wagon" for a cop car in New York. The Police in New York will gladly use the terms "Shenanigans, Hooligans, and Shilleilaghs". All these are typically Irish euphemisms.

Back on topic: By request from the Love of my Life - Calabria Foti will help us to close our eyes.

    Cheers,

    Corno Dolce

Thanks for the update on the Woodstock Festival and the city Woodstock. I always thought it was just a stone throw from the city Woodstock, thank you. Now, I am a bit wiser

I clearly remember the interview in the movie with this farmer Yasgur. He must have thought his land had been invated. 300.000 people are a lot of people. I read many years ago that canadian sing and song writer Joni Mitchell, was invited for Woodstock, but the traffic jam to Woodstock made it impossible for her to reach the festival. Joni at one time in the past living together with Graham Nash, former member of the english group The Hollies, before he imigrated to America and became a steady member of the great vocal acoustic guitar group Crosby, Still, Nash & Young (canadian too).

Have you heard, to be back on topic (not realy jazz or maybe it is) Pat Metheny with Joni Mitchelle on "Shadows and Light", Asylum Records 1980 feat. JM (piano, acoustic guitar, vocals), Pat Metheny (guitars), Lyle Mays (piano, keyboards, synthezisers), Michael Brecker (tenor saxophone), Jaco Pastorius (el. fretless bass) and Don Alias (drums, percussion).

That´s a fantastic album with both Pat Metheny and Jaco Pastorius. Joni also made an album with Charlie Mingus (double bass, piano) can´t remember the name though.

I know a lot of irish people became police officers and fire fighters, while a lot of italians became the opposite of police men. More into the Mafia and elegal traffic of anything elegal + a "few" murders. They say the Cicily mob invented bribery towards politicians, judges, police chiefs, reporters, public officials etc.etc.

This should however not be generalised to cover all italians or any other nationality. However it was the Lucky Luciano controled mob, who created Las Vegas. Lucky Luciano and Frank Sinatra were born in the same city at Cicily.
