Crossing the border

Dear Ms. Judy,

It is a mania that borders on the psychotic. Sometimes I get this premonition that many Scandinavians would need some time getting restorative therapy at an asylum.

Cheers,

CD :tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::tiphat:

Ok, now to balance my critique of Scandinavia: Norway has the beautiful cruise route called the *Hurtigruten* - I've sailed it several times and always envy those who pilot those ships as a job - and Edvard Grieg. Finland has the best composer - Jean Sibelius - and visionary architects. Denmark has excellent food and visionary architects - and Kierkegaard. Sweden - Hmmm - what about Sweden? Oh yeah - the archipelagos on the west coast and the east coast.

I also disagree with you Intet.

"So the USA today, as a former Danish secretary of Defence said: The USA and it´s citizens have become a country of pretenders. The slaughter of the native Americans and the segregation and racism towards the African Americans are yours alone, but most people in America do not consider this important, and not something foreignors have the right to stick their noses into. Hey guys: We saved your a...s in the WWII, so please butt out."
Frankly I've never heard anything more untrue (ok, thats a lie, but anyways).
Excuse me, but - Segregation and racism is ours alone? Most people do not consider this important? This whole paragraph is a lie word after word.

First of all, no one denies that we had slavery in here, which started out purely out of economical incentives. Yes, that slavery later turned into racism and segregation, but just as it started - it ended, and that, my friend, most of people outside of America do not find important. U killed native americans, u enslaved blacks... ok, we made a mistake, but we recognized it and fixed it, which is much much more than can be said for other countries, including china, middle east, africa - people dont seem to see any human rights violations in those countires, people seem not to see that there is genocide, killing of native populations. And guess what, you among the rest of those seem not to pay attention to other countries who made mistakes when it comes to human rights - Russia - wanna talk slavery - please start at its origins. The word slave came from Russia, meaning a person of Slavic descent. Did you forget about the poor peasants - or are they our fault too? How about some later mistakes and economical experiments - how about communism, how about persecuting of innocent people for nothing, just in the name of playing politics, how about starving people, how about concentration camps?
Moving on, Far East - man, from drowning their female babies to binding their feet, same exact peasantry, imposition of communism on them, limiting parents to only having one child - lets forget all of those things, and lets blame US because we are a racist country. (At which point I would suggest reading another one of my blog entries, called "US a racist country").
How about Germany and the persecution of jews, how about treating women like sh*t and teaching others to do so, like for example Austria, like for example Fritzl, who apparently did what he did because of Nazis.
Africa - that one has got more sh*t than our sewage pipes, so I wont go in there.

I hope you get a general idea. So yes, we may have had slavery...we may have slavery now, but its not the slavery that we force onto people, unlike communistic china and other authoritarian regimes. Frankly I do not care that these illegal immigrants do not have other choice, but to work for little money - thats slavery.... Slavery is a social phenomena, imposed by people, on people.... What we see is a result of a free market - why would anyone pay 1 dollar, when he can pay 50 cents? If you are going to equate slavery to certain market conditions, then I can tell you for sure - America is a slave herself, slave to middle east, slave to oil....Lets persecute these oil producing bastards for enslaving us.... oh, but wait, one might say - dont want to be a slave, dont participate in the market, go home, get your own oil, set your own prices, dont go by the market prices, established by speculators in New York, Beijing, Tokyo, London.....

When I illegaly go to the other country, get certain benefits, like healthcare, for which the citizens have to pay, AGREE to render my services for a certain fee, and then complain of being enslaved or not treated fairly - thats the day the hell freezes over and the devil starts giving out free sleigh rides. The government of this country was chosen to make decisions that are good for this country and this country only, they are not supposed to care first for the poor citizens of other countries, who brake all the laws to come here, brake them while in here, and then complain. it just doesnt work this way.

Dear Intet,

America isn't perfect and never pretended to be - It is a work-in-progress. There is no perfect place anywhere - just don't tell that to Kim jong-il, leader of the *peoples paradise* called DPRK. He might just lob a thermo-nuclear device at Copenhagen.

Hi Muza,

I appreciate the fact that you came from Uzbekistan. During the Soviet Empire Years the world got to know a regime that overran smaller countries and annected them outright - a blatant violation!!! Both the Russians and those ethnic groups and their countries which had been forcibly annected suffered mightily - so many that were sent to gulags, never to be heard from again. Oh yes, the leftist groups never speak about those atrocities. Apropos Leftists - I saw a bumpersticker on a car the other day which stated: *Turn Left at the next election* - I followed that car from a distance and saw it pull into a driveway that was part of a house worth many millions of dollars - What an oxymoron!!! A Leftist true to their cause would not live so extravagantly, but then again, it was the apparatchiks and Government officials who lived high on the hog whilst everyone else suffered.

Cheers,

Right you are Corno, absolutely right. Its funny what you said about the bumpersticker, my husband was telling me of a very similar experience a few days ago. He is a medical examiner, so he drives a lot, and has appointments at people's home a lot of times. Just a few days ago, he had a client in this beautiful expensive house in a very nice area. And she just started pushing her agenda on him - vote for Obama, and lets have common this and common that, we have to take care of other people who are less fortunate, donate some money, and this and that.
And he, being a politically educated person, after not being able to take it anymore just said - why dont you donate that money? Not to the campaign, but if you care so much about the people, why dont you just give your money straight to people? Why do you expect me to pay my money for your cause? ...The woman kinda turned red and choked a little.... This kind of a hypocritical behavior really gets me!

Most Blessed And Highly Honorable Muza,

Oh you are so right dear lady - BRAVO!!!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
I volunteer to work at soup kitchens for the indigent and give financial aid to non-profit organizations who feed, clothe and help the indigent get back on their feet. The democrats castigate Americans for not helping the poor - I'd like to see those self-serving democrats be serving at the chow line for a week - the problem is IS that they can talk the talk but never walk the walk. They can BS but when push comes to shove, they can't stand to be around smelly people. They are like the Pharisees in Holy Scripture who traipsed by someone who was lying in a ditch half-dead and continued on their merry way.
Dang it!!! I get really incensed :shake::scold:

Muza dear

I respect your opinion, and this is obviously like entering a mine field, which I knew. But you made the thread and I don´t chicken out, but gave my best judgement according to slavery and religion, and how religion in your country has a huge influence in politics:

www.newamericancentury.com

You may call it a lie, I respect your opinion, but as you stated "we have fixed that"? Did you? So why do the native indians, still live in certain areas of reservations/camps under the concept The Indian Nations? Have you ever visited some of these places, where a doctor and medical help is more of a miracle than the opposite? They were given 10 Casinos as an excuse for the slaughtering of the entire race of indians, like "we" the caucation whites introduced alcohol and guns to them.

The KKK still exist like organized crime (Cosa Nostra eaquls the Mafia) still exist. But they are not visible anymore, for the simple reason that it would not benefit each of them.

The Rodney King killing by three or four white policemen, show the racism is still on. The Casper, Texas incident where two low-life caucation whites, being drunk as skunks dragged a black guy chained behind their car - to his death, just another example from present day of racism.

Your own Congress shows the unequallity as to representation of other than caucation white males. The lack of female senators (in the plural tense) and the lack of other than caucation white male and female senators. The USA forced the veto through, when giving the Sinai peninsula to the jews. What did the kurds, who live without a country, get? And which country did the USA veto on behalf of the native indian americans?

Politial regimes can turn over night or due to an election, but the culture of a country, traditions of a country and social unequallity will take at least a hundred years to change. Slavery is against the Human Rights, but of course it would not matter for you, since you President Jr. officially resigned the Human Rights, The Geneva Convention and the reason we all sumitted to the UN, when he invaded the wrong country of Iraq, having none whatsoever responsability for 9/11. Your Guantanamo torture prison camp is the only official torture prison in the history of the western world for centuries. Illegal to USA justice, that´s why it´s on Cuba. Your Rendition program created by the CIA, in other words the right for the USA to kidnap any citizen in any country and fly them to Guantanamo or any bandit state you´ve bribed, where torture is a legal enterrorgation method, which your own laws prohibit. Kidnapping in the USA penal code is not legal, will mostly give you life imprisonment or the death penalty, but in this case - you simple threw awy your own laws, not to mention any international law made by us since the WWII to benefit humanity and peace between counties.

Your President Jr. announced with the abowe mentioned issues in 2003 before invading Iraq that no american serviceman or woman could be arrested, procecuted, trialed and convicted in any foreign country. Since when did the USA have the right to interfear with the law of sovereign countries throughout the world, like Germany for instance???

That´s tyrany!!

He even told the media of the world that he the night before he announced the invation of Iraq, had a conversation with God, and that God had supported his idea to invade Iraq. Do you guys really believe in this???

My christian God would never support violence towards another human being, nor a military invation of a country, where innocent people 650.000 are to be killed.

So please, it´s always easy to sit on a high horse, but honestly how many more civilian iraqi´s have to lose their lives - to equalize the death of 3000 americans at the WTC, airplane bombed by Al Qeada??? What have they got to do with Iraq???

Your vice President Dick Cheney promised americans that the invation of and the war against Iraq would last at the most 3-4 months. So why are you still there killing, raping, burning torturing civilians in their own country, and add to this young americans who will never have a life???

The same President Jr. has downsized the financial support for the US weterans, and the medical help for american soliders, who has been psysical injured and many of them with mental injuries.

Btw. Why do you think most countries out of the 28 countries - the international coalition - who believed in the USA at first - fell apart??? You still need in the USA to answer the question, you all asked yourself at 9/12-2001: Why do they want to kill us??? More specific, Who are "they"???

Respectfully, but you have not solved anything as of yet according to Democracy, slavery, equallity and religious influence in politics.

This song was written by one of the most important poets in the USA since the 1960´s. I guess he thought of Nam - Vietnam:

Masters of War, by Bob Dylan:

[FONT=Courier, Courier New]Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain

You fasten the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
Even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand o'er your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead

Respectfully, Intet, if you are gonna come out with allegations like that - they better be more researched and argued, because to me - you just said the exact same thing that you said in the previous post, to which im gonna reply with the exact same thing that I posted as a response.

It seems to me you really didnt read my response, or didnt quite understand my point. And once again, I am going to say - you are for some reason biased against US. I dont know why, it doesnt really matter. First of all, lets be clear about 1 thing - US had problems and US has problems. Nobody denied that.

Why dont you go ahead and name 1 government to me which does not....seriously. Tell me of a government that at some point of its history did not have slavery, forms of segregation and racism and other human rights violations....truth of the matter is - slavery did not start here. truth of the matter is - slavery was around for ages and it was EVERYWHERE. truth of the matter is - americans did not go to africa in search of somebody to put into chains...Rich kings and lords sold their own people to traders. Truth of the matter, it was europeans who brought all those goodies, along with slaves here. (And by the way, it was the europeans who killed off the indians - remember the spaniards?).

Now, tell me of a government right now that is free of some forms of racism and human rights violation..... ANY ONE...JUST ONE WILL DO. The point that I was vigorously trying to get across which you missed, was that while everybody finds it easy to attack US, perhaps they should take a look around their own place. What about your country? why are you saying all this about mine? papa, dont preach - fix the problems at home before you start criticising me. And once you do that, why is it that you fix on America when I can tell you for sure that they are bigger problems going on with other countries. Seriously, I would be happy just having an answer to this one.

Thats the problem with UN. America has rejected the United Nations human rights committee or something like that because it was headed by whom? somebody from, what, Syria (i dont know for sure, but lets imagine for a second that it is indeed syria). But answer me another thing - how does it make sense for a person from Syria, with the very much known female rights violations and things like that, head a committee on human rights? US laughed at this, and rightfully so! And now all of a sudden we are a racist society?

Let me tell you something, we had slavery, and we no longer do. We had segregation, and we no longer do. I DO CALL THIS A FIXED PROBLEM. And some problems that we do have (which are nowhere close to human rights violations in some other countries), we are in the process of fixing (UNLIKE those countries).

U have mentioned a lot of things, none of which are true and Im not saying this to you as a proud American who blindly defends her country, I am saying this as a person who has a firsthand experience of America. I dont even know where to start with those, but I will try.
Less females in politics - politics always were and still remain a predominantly male interest, not because America doesnt encourage females, but because they are not interested.

Native Americans - lets start by saying it was indeed a white man who killed them, but it wasnt an American white man, as i mentioned above. American expansion into the west did take place, however. But what happened, happened. just like nuclear bombing in heroshima and nagosake, just like genocides all over the world, just like holocaust, and many many more things. What, are we supposed to be still paying for something that happened hundreds of years ago? No we dont! but we still are, there are a lot of things involved in the relations with indigenous tribes, which frankly even I am not aware of - but they have their land, which they have sole possession of, land in which they can impose their own rules in which laws of America sometimes dont apply...and believe me, Americans are paying big times in those casinos now:grin:

Racism and Rodney King beating - first of all, when did that happen? My point is that it happened some time ago, and by no means did I or anybody else think that was cool or justified. But why is it that when a crime happens against a black man by anybody else, its necessarily racism or a hate crime. But when a crime happens against a white man by a black man, its just plain old violence? There may be random spurs of police brutality, but guess what, when you are patroling streets all day and most of the crime and violence is committed by black members of populations (and that is a fact), the prime suspect is going to be black - no bias and no hate in it, just basic psychology. A minority is maybe 90% more likely to fire at a policeman, so I were a policeman, you better be sure I would be much more jumpy around those members of population. Racism does happen in here, but it is EVERYWHERE. The truth of the matter is, we as a society and we as a government, are much more open to minorities, to different religious views, different views in general than every other country in the universe. Trump that, Intet.

Intet, you did not answer any of my questions, you have not responded to anything that I have to say, except whipping out some new alleged human violation that are supposedly happening here. And don't you, even for a second, DARE TO SAY OR IMPLY THAT NONE OF THAT MATTERS TO ME or anybody else here. That is no argument! I am in this country, I expierience this country every day on myself, and I know much more things (about whats going on in here that is) than you ever will by reading books and following media (which is greatly biased, and thats a fact). Before saying that none of this matters to me, why dont you answer my questions and address my concerns?

P.S. Respectfully, we have solved much more when it comes to every single one of those you mentioned, than anybody in the world.

Muza dear and Corno Dolce

It seems you´re going on and on about how the rest of the world are musguided, but you know, we still haven´t got a clue from the republican admin. to why they attacked a country that had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11 - and did not have the WMD´s? However this information from the Bush-admin was repeated over and over again, until they invaded Iraq and found nothing themselves.

As you can see from this link below, from a survey done by the most prestigious institut of the USA - Johns Hopkins (you ought to know this institut), they´ve done a scientific reseach of killed people.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6040054.stm

The fact that none of you seem to be able to grasp is, that thousands of american soldiers do not want to be a part of this slaughter, we all remember Vietnam.

Respectfully, but guys you´re being controled by people who do not apply to rules of democracy, that´s why you´re not a democratical country. Democracy does not just mean to vote, which 50 percent of the american people don´t anyway. How many times in your own history have they lied to you, about Korea, about Vietnam and now one of the poorest countries in the world - Iraq?

If you want to be a democracy, you follow the rules and laws of democracy - which means NO TORTURE, NO RAPES of iraqi women and NO INVATIONS of countries that are not a threat to you nor the international community and only if a majority of countries within the U.N. sanction this.

You did not invent these methods in Iraq, you simply brought them to Iraq from back home. How many women are raped each minute all over the USA every day? I believe one in 48 seconds every minute, every hour, every day.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5253160.stm

Americans all over the US protest against the brutality, the rapes of prisoners and the scenario, within a month after the invation in 2003, pictures brought on the internet by smiling american soldiers: Look Mom and Dad we have recreation in Bagdad???
