Intet,
I gotta admit - its much easier to argue with a tired brain, but definitely not as much fun

So, I'll meet you back here tomorrow!
Well Muza dear
Thank you for recognising, I have a brain, sometimes even I wonder when talking to the wild bunch here?

However, I try not to argue or be here at all - though the addiction has tremendous influence - when I am tired, since it´s no fun for me and especially no one else. Like I said, I agree and disagree with you.:grin:

Anyways, I hope you´ve had your morning coffee.
I agree with you that the US neither on the federel level nor on the local level never have put adds to the news papers looking for slaves for the plantations in the south of the USA from 1600-2008. What I meant was, the organised slavery is in your history for more than 375 years as a legal tradition and in your culture, your economical growth, your buisnesses and churches as well.
Mostly because of having purchased slaves "legally" to be a property for money. In America everything have a price, and if you have enough money, you can buy or receive from other sources sometimes illegal - There are no moral limits towards the individual American.
But let me first state this. I do not speak on behalf of Europeans, nor the Danes or any Mimf´s. Also I am not speaking for or against religion on the individual scenario towards faith in the Lord and Jesus Christ, but as a historian of your society and the society of Europe from the beginning around 1600 to 2008 according to slavery and it´s evolvement from the cotton and sugar fields, over the orange and lemon plantations, to prostitution and sex slavery - the latest edition of slavery as a buisness and a billion dollar "success".
One of the major differences between Europe/the rest of the world and America are the facts, that you have achieved to become a union of states and the one country in the world as the USA, with more innovative thinking for America, more progress in technology and medicin, factories and the industrialism itself with new creations/inventions throughout most departments of your society in only less than 225 years, counted from the day you told England of your Declaration of Independency in 1776. Most of these initiatives turned into economical successes. Except the normal developements of social equallity among americans in a democracy according to your own Constitution, where you completely failed - and in this both political parties. You still have a controvercy between Republicans and Democrats or blue states against red states. The difference between rich and poor are bigger in America than in any other western country.
You are the number 1 in the world, when it comes to marketing on anything whatsoever from the TV, to marine biologi, the Armstrong Moon Walk, the Ford and later the SUV´s - to prostitution and pornography (72% of the entire world market on DVD´s and video tapes) to MacDonalds Fast Food Chain of restaurents, and the incredible total power within the most lethal killing machine - your military forces - equals the military complex, who always makes the profit, supported by and owned by caucation whites with tight relations to religious supremacy, which all have had an incredible succes world wide in less than fourty years. These items and examples of how to change a natural thing (sex) and having food (MacDonalds) and to defend yourself into a world wide billion dollars buisness, also about the producing and distribution of weapons worldwide which often signifies, what the USA is all about. You have become the only SUPER power of the world and at the same time the only democratical country in the western world, where religion still has huge influence in politics and towards the continued slavery, only on a new group.
But here I only speak of slavery in the below mentioned periods:
1) From the first settlers came to North America to your Declaration of Independence towards England.
2) From this event, where you ended being former Europeans, to become Americans, over the civil war - North against South. Slavery was prohibitted.
3) From the Civil War over the KKK movement to the 1930´s. Slavery was still prohibitted by law, but unofficially still working under the controle of slave trafickkers and people of racism - the KKK.
4) The ending of WWII initiating two never seen before atom bombs with a devasting power of destruction over Hiroshima and Nagasiki to the huge demonstrations in the south about Civil Rights until today 2008.
Throughout this entire period, the USA have enslaved colored people/African Americans and foreignors and it´s own people, who took the bate of - The American Dream, which can be considered like a huge magnet from all over the western world and the Third World towards the USA - "Let´s Go To San Francisco", the song we all remember.
But as we both know religion as a influencial powerful partner or force in society into politics is still a part of the USA political landscape, where as the Europeans left the Roman Catholic Church outside any whatsoever influence in political matters around 1789 - the French Revolution.
So while the Europeans fought the Roman Catholic Church (religion) also for it´s wealth, stolen for centuries by Rome and the Pope throughout the world, USA was not a part of this revolution and decrease of power for religion towards politics and the military. On the contrary, your religious leaders increased their influence into politics, like Jerry Farwell and his baptist movement Moral Majority in the middle of the 1970´s moving into the 1980´s.
So the USA today, as a former Danish secretary of Defence said: The USA and it´s citizens have become a country of pretenders. The slaughter of the native Americans and the segregation and racism towards the African Americans are yours alone, but most people in America do not consider this important, and not something foreignors have the right to stick their noses into. Hey guys: We saved your a...s in the WWII, so please butt out.
So what I am saying is the 47 million americans, who are unemployed, who have no regular adress, who can not pay for hospitalisation, who have no social insurance are americans like you, but really slaves of a failed economical system, which do not provide for them. Most well of americans today are ashamed of this increasing group, and feel they should not pay more taxes to help this group.
The same goes for the immigrants, who as you say have not had an official invitation by the US government, but like everybody else are drawn to the USA in the hope that they all will prosper, simply because they are inside the USA legally or illegally. So when first there, what are they going to do, except work for much less than minimum vages - they do not have a choice. That´s slavery.
So this group all together counts 60 million people out of 300 mill. people, equals 1 out of every 5, who can not make it to be a part of the American Dream. They are all slaves of a failed welfare system, like we know that most US soldiers in Iraq right now, have been drafted in areas of the USA with less education and less employment. Never from Harward, nor Yale or Princeton.
Soldiers have always been slaves of political warmongers towards military conflicts and wars, since soldiering means to obey an order and not use your own head to decide. If you disobey an order from a higher ranking officer, even unlisted officers or the drill Sargent, you might end up in Leavenworth for incibordination or on a charge of betrayel.
The rich citizens in America can mostly do whatever they please inside the law or outside the law and your Constitution, and this group has decreased in numbers, while the poor uneducated group has increased by 100 times over the past decades since the WWII.
Py Ha!! Respectfully and humbly from someone in Denmark, who is very disapointed with the current admin because it only increases poverty and unequallity among americans and basicly produce more losers and slaves of the same system, which never looked their way.
