My friend thanks for this post !
I allready have this one and is one of the best jOrgan sets, simply cause has full original Spanish pipe organs' samples - the biggest sf2 bank so far..
The samples are taken by P.Herrero and originaly was produced for Hauptwerk1 - this means that it works (the HW1set) for GrandOrgue.
See my thread sticky index for GO free sets and you will find this organ listed.
But not available nowadays...Graham tries to locate Mr. Herrero to ask permition for relelease...

BUT : I 've got Organo Espagniol for HW1 > IT DOES Not work with any of MyOrgan / GOv.1 / GOv.2 ....! Is the only HW1 set it doesn't.
Another serious thing : set is about 404MB big and has many different .exe s'
If one needs to load ths set to HW3 will spend much memory, especially if all dispositions are to be loaded...In my system, Spanish Organ inside Hauptwerk weights 2.5GB !!

So, work is to be done for a GO Spanish King...
'Till then jOrgan Spanish is the only Free Spaniard we can play and enjoy. Yes. enjoy, 'cause the sound itself is the same HW & GO use !! and then there is this beautiful red / yellow console with 3 great spaniard photos !!

Yes, I tried all of the downloadable links from the various sites listed there. About 7 or 8 different sites full of instruments.

Mike, you're right. The link doesn't seem to work, at least not in firefox. I tried this one, too: http://jlmonsite.chez.com/MonSite/music.htm

which leads to the download pages of not only the Spanish organ, but Hammond Ebony, Cliquot and others. But I can only get there by using Chrome browser?!?

Don't know what to tell you other than try it using Chrome.

Hi guys !

I got Internet explorer 8, both 32&64bit, Firefox and Google Chrome. All 4 work great.
Yes Stephens 1st link do nothing at all (Ex8 32bit).
BUT there's allways a simpler way : Go to jOrgan site typing Sven Meier jOrgan in Google search (if you type jOrgan only it leeds you to jOrdan !) and then go to dispositions bottom page and see all guys who do dispositions. Clicking a name leads you to the appropriate site.
These days Casper's is out for maitenance and sadly Stratman's is not found anymore !? what happend ?

Caution. Levy's ecxellent dispositions need to be half costructed after dowload and placing all components in a disposition file !

I have a question for the experts: I have downloaded all of these dispositions, skins, soundfonts, sfzs, etc. and I have about 5 versions of jOrgan installed. With the recent links I posted for the Spanish and Cliqout, etc. sometimes I get an error that says "this is no longer a valid disposition file or for the Spanish one, that it requires a fluidsynth extension - even tho it has FS in the disposition. Another error is happening when attempting to save after changing a disposition with errors. I get an "unable to save *FS.disposition" for example.

Stephen this is one reason I am not that fond of jorgan.. for some reason Hauptwek and miditzer are much easier to work with...in my experience.

That's true, but jOrgan has so many more sample sets that sound great and are free. I love Miditzer, but there are not many options for different organs and Hauptwerk carries with it a huge expense for the really great sample sets.

Learning curves are the bane of my existence, lol.

It is considered bad practice to have more than one version of jOrgan installed in your computer, although some users seem to manage to do this successfully to some extent. The recommended use is to have installed the most recent version. This can try one's patience, because jOrgan is under constant development, meaning that it is becoming better all the time. What needs to be realised is that dispositions which have been opened and saved in a late version of jOrgan will no longer work
in an earlier version.
Fluidsynth adds to the confusion, because Fluidsynth itself is being developed, and constantly coming out with new versions itself.
My advice is to use the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs to remove all your jOrgan versions, and then download and use the latest version INSTALLER from the jOrgan Download page to make sure that you have the latest version of jOrgan. This should ensure that the currently most helpful version of Fluidsynth is present.
It is also recommended that the various files now being supplied by disposition developers for a given disposition should be placed in a single folder with an appropriate identifying name, and that folder be nested within the dispositions folder of your (one) jOrgan version.
If you are having problems with understanding or managing jOrgan, you will always find users ready to help you, on the jOrgan forum.

Analogicus, thanks for the tip. I thought I had read somewhere that certain organs only worked with certain versions, hence the multiple instances with the appropriate dispositions filed within them.

I do have the most recent version installed and have already done as you suggested and have folders with respective organs within the tree of the jOrgan directory. My understanding has been that not all organ definitions were backward compatible and that certain dispositions needed the particular version of jOrgan, so the various versions I have reside in the root directory or on external hard drives.

I'll return to the jOrgan forums for a bit more reading as I obviously overlooked or misinterpreted something in the past. I appreciate your info.

@Graham: I would be very interested to have the Hauptwerk 1 version of the above-mentioned organ. I did enjoy the sample pieces that were on the site.

I'm glad that now at least we know how to get back to the site (thanks Mike/Panos).

Stephen follow Analogicus advice to the word. Latest version of jOrgan is 3.10. I used it to create my dispositions (8 till now, you allready know Russell..). Spanish and all Levy's dispositions need to be constructed to see and hear them in full.
Try Cavaill'e-Coll 2.o from Bernd Casper has everything in it (widows installer) or Paul C. Stratman's or John Reimer's Earlwood organs. They just open ok in full. But get the latest jOrgan version first ! You'll have to select your midi controller though
ONE BIG HELP is BILL SKEES jOrgan manual (in two volumes about 200 pages) and is free download from his site, I think "Bill Skees Recording Artist" (Google search). Get it.

My friend Bill, you know I love Hauptwerk and it's great performance in all levels and Grand Orgue with it's huge polyphony, power , it's everyday evolution to be the best and of course it's freedom ! but I wanted to see jOrgan at work and this work to be as great as the other two.... so we can end up with a triad of great VPOs (3 is better than 2 or 1 for unexplicable reasons). I smashed my head for months to understand jOrgan's logic and remembered each time your words about using just two apps (HW3 free and Midiger) and how well I should be too if I stayed calm. I continued though...
Now I know and is worth the effort. Yesterday night I put Haupwerk samples - organ stops - into jOrgan. Great sound. No difference. Have you ever spoted a difference between an organ set for HW1 played on HW3 and on GOv2 ? I can't tell...

So I ended up with this : it all depend on how good are the actual samples of the real organ.
In the end all VPO programs are in fact sample-players with merging functions, I mean their possibility to play as much channels at once as the opened organ stops ! - each stop is considered as a sole instrument -
I have like you the Midigers and like them a lot too . Have you tried to replace the sf2 bank with something else, lets say a General Midi one ? Midiger transforms itself to a workstation (with the use of it's midi recorder) !!

Afternoon all ~

I have downloaded the latest jOrgan 3.10. I copoied all of the dispositions from the other organs into another fold before I uninstalled everything. I still have the installers for Bernd's CC 1.6 as well as 2.0 and the SBO in my download directory from back a while ago.

I also downloaded the 2 volume user guide (thanks for letting me know about it Panos). I'm taking the time to uninstall duplicate programmes from xp and 7 from my lappy. I looked on one of the externals that I use for backups and I have a copy of just about every I ever installed on one of the drives, so if anyone ever is in need of any of these just say the word.

I'm looking forward to trying your organ Panos. I saw your posts on the jOrgan user forum. Good advice about the soundfonts. I too, have tried different ones in Mitizer. Sometimes I use just a soundfont player for doodling. But you make a good point about the built-in recorder in Miditzer. So many ways to skin a cat, eh?

I would like to report that I cleaned up my lappy drive, defragged it and then installed the latest jOrgan. I pulled all of the dispositions into the disposition directory and was finally able to customize and get the spanish organ to play...and what a sound! Beautiful reverb, too. Only problem was I wasn't able to save the disposition again, as before. I also tried to import the disposition and redid everything but got the same error.

But even if I have to reconfigure it to play it, it's not too much to ask for such a wonderful sound. Now to play with the other ones.

I also got all of the latest Pastor Stratman's dispos for the current version. I also reinstalled the CC2 Beta, so I have some great sounds again.

This is an old thread, but I see that I need to correct the above statement. It was true during the Windows XP days, but there are now security issues which Microsoft has addressed, and the disposition folder containing all the relevant files for a particular jOrgan disposition should definitely be placed elsewhere. A good place is in My Documents. And doing this may clear up the failure to save a disposition, which some of you are having, and which I have NEVER had.
