midi input channel for Hauptwerk or MyOrgan

Hello !
I need your help, please;
I am designing my own virtual organ and I have to update my organ midifiles for it.
I would like to ask to MyOrgan and hauptwert 1 -2 or 3 owners the following thing about Midi channels :

Is there normalized Midi input channels for Great and Pedals ?

Sometimes I see in ODF : great = channel 1 and pedal = channel 2
Some other times I see the contrary.

Please, help me to make the best choice. What do you suggest ? Thanks
