‘Præludium’ for organ from Frederik Magle’s Anastasis-Messe (Anastasis Mass) is based on an improvisation, recorded on the pipe organ in Saint Paul’s church, Copenhagen, in 2017. The written adaption (2021) have been significantly altered and refined throughout, whilst maintaining the structure, melodic lines, and overall character and idea of the original improvisation.
The Præludium is also available in a version for piano four-hands.
