So far, this month (Sept 2011) the Old Pueblo has surpassed the previous record (1964) for rainfall. The old record was 5.11 inches; as of the 16th of Sept, we have had 5.87 inches of rain this month, and the monsoon season is not yet over.
We've had severe flooding in some areas (not at our house, though), power outages, and lots of idiot drivers who think they can make it through a wash with 4 feet of rapidly flowing water. For those people, we have the
Arizona Stupid Motorist Law which can fine them up to $2,000 (USD).
Today, a sunny 94°c/34.7°c ... no breeze.
