Glad to have found this wonderful forum and look forward to meeting everyone.
I am a professional musician (guitarist) for over 30 years and my interests lately are the connections of music and metaphysics, the spirituality of music and the occult and musick.

I have lived and studied with Robert Fripp (the first Guitar Craft class 1985)

I am presently composing sacred music for a Kemetic Order based in Portugal that will consist of ancient Egyptian and modern sounds.

Again, I look forward to chewing the mental cud with you all !!

Would Egyptian music be based on modes, or ragas?

Very Raga like, of course there are no examples to listen to but traditional Middle Eastern music is very close.
